No, all our plants are photoperiod.

All our plants are cloned from mothers, so whether originally from feminised seeds, or females selected from regular seeds, they are all guaranteed female, unless clearly specified otherwise.

We have small, medium and large plants.

  • Smalls are in a 0.75 L plastic bag. Their height can vary between 10 & 30 cm from the surface of the soil.
  • Mediums are in a 2.5 L plastic bag and can vary between 30 & 80 cm in height.
  • Larges are in a 8 L plastic bag and can vary between 50 cm and 1.5 m in height.

Below is an generic indication of plant sizes. There are two larges, two mediums, and two smalls in a row.

Adoption fees

The “adoption” terminology stems from when it was illegal to sell plants. We offered the option of adopting them and the adoption fee would go towards our cost of getting the plant to the size it is when you take her home to flower out (soil, nutrients, time, space, skill etc).

However, with the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act that was gazetted in 2024, cannabis has been redefined to exclude plants in their vegetative state. So there are no restrictions on the sale of plants, as long as they are in their vegetative state. We still call it “adoption” because we like that you give these girls a new home and look after them until they bless you with flowers.

Adoption fees:

  • Small plants are in a 0.75 L bag: R100 each
  • Medium plants are in a 2.5 L bag: R300 each
  • Large plants are in a 8 L bag: R550 each

We accept cash, card and instant EFT. Please do not make any payments until your order is confirmed.

Location & contact

Our main nursery is in Lanseria, Gauteng from where we can courier small and medium plants countrywide.

Visits are by appointment only, and for members only.

There are also a growing number of DF Independent nurseries: independently owned and operated nurseries with the same trusted genetics and quality standards you have come to expect from Dagga Farmacy.

Yes, we courier small and medium plants.

The shipping fee is generally around R160 for up to 12 small plants, and around R450 for up to 8 medium plants.

We send it on a Monday, and it usually arrives within the week, and the plants are fine for that time.

However, the risk remains yours. If the couriers mishandle the boxes, the plants can arrive damaged and they will need an experienced hand to nurture them back to vitality.

See our T&Cs for further information.

Please note, not all plants on our availability list will be suitable to courier. If the plant is too tall for the box, it risks being damaged in transit. We will communicate this with you during the order process.

You are welcome to collect from our nursery – just arrange a day and time with us beforehand. We will confirm your appointment and send you our location.

Our admin office is open between 9am and 4pm on weekdays. Appointments are available for the following hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9 am – 4 pm.
  • Friday: 9 am – 3 pm.
  • Saturday: 10 am – 2 pm.
  • Sunday: Closed.

Our hours on a public holiday are 10 am – 2 pm, except when otherwise stated.

  1. Phone calls are invasive. It means we have to drop everything we are busy with and give our full attention to whoever is phoning. It is also disrespectful to the people who are here by appointment. We are happy to receive voice notes if that helps you.
  2. We seldom have the phone with us. WhatsApp and Email are set up on our laptops and we respond from there. Please do not send us an SMS. We do not get those.
  3. Our messaging platforms serve as a record of our conversation with you. We are able to keep track of what you ordered, what we discussed and whether we already gave you any information you may need.

Note, we do not like disappearing messages. As a grow club member, your conversations with us are private and confidential, and we have nothing to hide. Please do not switch on disappearing messages.

WhatsApp. By far.

Send us a message. We prefer text messages, but can work with voice notes if needed.

Since the vast majority of our conversations are on WhatsApp, we sometimes forget to check emails. The busier we get, the less we engage on social media, so while we appreciate you following us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, it is always best to send us a WhatsApp if you want to get in touch.

Refund policy

  • Pests

We do everything in our power to prevent pests on our plants. Should your plants arrive infested with pests, we will immediately replace them or refund returned plants. Please provide photo evidence within 24 hours of receiving the plants.

  • Damaged during transit

While the risk of sending plants via courier is yours, we will replace plants that arrive dead. When plants arrive damaged but salvageable, we ask that you nurture them back to good health. Please send photo evidence immediately upon opening the box.

  • Disease

Our plants are disease-free. If you suspect something wrong, please provide photo evidence immediately and we will respond accordingly.

  • Photos

Please take a photo of the whole plant with the tag clearly visible. Also take close-ups of the problem area. Ensure that your camera places focus on the areas you want to highlight.

See our full T&C.

Growing Q&A

The white spots sometimes seen on adopted Dagga Farmacy plants is spray residue from our treatments of copper soap or bio-sulfur. Even though these residues can easily be mistaken for powdery mildew, they are broad-spectrum fungicides used to protect against powdery mildew.

Our main product is plants. These are all photoperiod cannabis plants, cloned from mothers (unless otherwise specified).

We use a mixture of sphagnum peat moss and perlite, to which we add a slow-release fertiliser programmed to release nutrients over 4 months at soil temperature of 21°C.

FAQ

Since buying or selling of Cannabis plants is not currently legal in South Africa, we offer our plants up for adoption (we want to see as many people as possible growing their own). We charge an adoption fee that covers our costs such as time, effort, skill, soil, nutrients, etc.

  1. Decide which strains you want based on our latest adoption surplus list.
  2. Contact us to keep those plants aside for you.
  3. Arrange collection/delivery.
  4. Pay the adoption fee (and delivery fee if applicable) on collection/delivery.

We have an adoption surplus list that we update weekly on a Sunday. Join our WhatsApp Group, Telegram Channel or Email List to have it sent directly to you every week, or keep an eye on @DaggaFarmacy on Facebook or Instagram as we post it there as well.

Adoption fees:

  • Small plants = R150 each
  • Medium plants = R300 each
  • Large plants = R550 each

We accept cash and EFT. Please let us know if we should send you bank details.

We are based in Paarl, and we can deliver to Cape Town and the Boland at R200 delivery fee. Please enquire for deliveries further afield in the Cape Winelands.

Yes! Let us know when you would like to come through, and we will send you location details. We grow from home, so we value our privacy and only make our location available to you when you have arranged a day and approximate time. We are based in Paarl.

We prefer not to courier plants but we are willing to package the plants at a reasonable packaging fee if you arrange the courier yourself. Please note that both the cost and risk of shipping live plants across the country is yours.
